If Thule is analogous to Greenland in real-life, this is an interesting article that may be used to add some geographic detail to the setting: Secret World of Primeval Rivers Lies Beneath Greenland Glacier
In my campaign, Set is the BBEG and Serpentmen are attempting to recapture Thule through impersonation, enchantment and assassination of city/nation leaders. This underground river system may be how they can, with the aid of water-breathing magic, covertly travel throughout the island without being detected and used to infiltrate cities that tap into it to collect water. Note that in the real-world, these rivers would have been above ground but are now covered in ice. Still, this idea could be used like an "Underdark."

This is awesome.
I was going to write more but nothing else matched that first sentence; this is awesome.
Sure, I could have just made up something similar to use, but I didn't, did I? Just the possibilities of a bunch of underground (under-ice?) waterways is amazing.
