Greetings All... Attached is another line of thinking for for Serious and Lingering Wounds: Serious Wounds v2.pdf (113.26 KB) If you download this to read, understand that I intend to use a modified version of the rest variant in the DMG; also note that I intend to put limits on Cantrip use and almost every other "At Will" ability... Here is my Rest Chart detailing what can be accomplished during a rest: Rest Chart.pdf (81.64 KB) A quick look: 1) A Break (my new type of rest) lasts around an hour; no more than 3 Breaks are allowed in a 12 hour period ...some simple things are possible during a break 2) A Short Rest lasts 8-10 hours; no more than 1 Short Rest is allowed in a 24 hour period ...very much like a standard Short Rest (only it's 8 hours long), although all spell casters can recover some spell slots 3) A day of Long Rest lasts 24 hours and is contiguous with a Short Rest or a previous day of Long Rest ...1 or more 24 hour periods. It's how you really rest, heal, and recover bigger spell slots Also note, these are all still in an early playtest stage. I am trying out a bunch of ideas as I prepare to run my campaign. I'm also going to wait & see what's in the Thule GM & Player's Companions... Bill W.
